intention & inspiration

When we resolve our internal blocks, our body naturally finds its way to homeostasis, allowing us to embody our innate nature and develop more harmonious relationships with ourselves, others, & the world around us.

This deck was inspired by Marma, an ancient martial art acupressure modality from India. The Marma acupressure points act as secret doorways, that when stimulated properly, unlock & integrate physiological, mental, emotional, and energetic blockages.

Marma aids in unwinding and unraveling stress from the nervous system while simultaneously allowing us to reweave and reprogram it.

Each card in this deck is associated with a key Marma acupressure point, the element that that point and body part is associated with, and an affirmation intended to balance the emotional and physical properties of the associated point, body part and bodily function.

Combining Marma acupressure, somatic tracking, affirmations, elemental divination and self-care practices, this 40 card deck intends to deepen self-connection and intuition by inviting users to get creative about their daily self-care rituals. Self-care is something we can commit to daily but what we do to care for ourselves can change and evolve as we do.

how to use

Hold the deck of 40 cards in your hands, shuffle, and place them on a table or space in front of you. Take a moment to close your eyes and center yourself. When you are ready, choose a card & turn it over.

Option 1: Marma Acupressure & Affirmation

  • Reference the acupressure hand map to locate the pressure point that is on the card you chose & then locate the pressure point on your hand.

  • Using your thumb or a tool of your choice, begin to apply pressure to the Marma acupressure point. While you are steadily pressing the point, repeat the affirmation on the card you chose 3-12 times. If you want you can close your eyes & tune into your body. When complete rub and release the pressure point.

Option 3: Somatic Tracking & Affirmation

  • Close your eyes and bring your conscious awareness into the part of the body associated with the pressure point that you chose from the deck.

  • Once you have brought your awareness into this specific part of your body, repeat the affirmation silently in your mind and observe what arises in your body and your mind.

Option 2: Affirmation

  • Read or write down the affirmation from your chosen card and repeat it mentally throughout the day.

  • Observe what arises throughout the day

Option 5: Elements, Self-Care & Affirmation

  • Observe what arises

  • Combine Options 1-5

Option 4: Intuit

  • Use the cards intuitively and create your own unique ritual

element key

In Ayurveda, there are 5 elements that are the building blocks of nature and are found in all living things, including the human body: space, air, fire, water, and earth. When we balance the elements within our bodies we can live in greater harmony with nature and thrive in life. Each card has a border and symbol associated with an element. When you pick a card intuitively from the deck you can use the element key to explore the element and associated self-care practices to construct your daily self-care ritual that will invite balance to the element internally & externally.
