nourishing our microbiome with probiotic foods varies depending on the current state of our microbiome. certain fermented foods can contribute to an existing imbalance. experimenting with different probiotic foods in different seasons and at different times of life and stages of health can clue us in to what is going on with our digestive health.

currently I am absolutely loving @shortmountaincultures golden kvass & beet kvass. it feels like a remedy that my Eastern European ancestors might have used and for this moment my system is enjoying it!
