food sourcing is important. opting for local, organic (or foods that are grown organically even if the farm doesn’t have the money to obtain the organic ‘certification’ - talk to your farmers), wild, pastured and grass fed & finished regeneratively farmed products are ideal. avoiding corn-fed, soy-fed, and grain-fed foods, especially when it comes to animal products is optimal.

researching farms near you or meeting and speaking with farmers at a local farmers market can help you learn more about what is available to you.

I love asking farmers about their soil, how they got into farming, etc. their passion for cultivating food and nourishing our communities is palpable.
